About Spirit of the Wind
 About Us:

Spirit of the Wind is a Native American nonprofit organization from Siskiyou County, Northern California, surrounded by the majestic Mount Shasta wilderness, and we are expanding our activities to serve the communities of Klamath County in Southern Oregon.

Mission, Vision, and Guiding Principles:

Our Mission is to preserve and promote the Native American Culture, Values, and Traditions through strong Community support and our growing role in the community over the last 40 years.
We organize, coordinate, and facilitate Native American Indigenous, Educational, and Spiritual Activities and Purification Ceremonies to support and guide participants in restoring and strengthening their wellness.
Our Vision is to address and reduce stressors impacting individuals and the community, promote spiritual principles and behavioral practices, and encourage intentional living.

We are a Community committed to living in harmony with the Creator.
To accomplish our Mission and Vision, Spirit of the Wind honors the following guiding principles (core values):
• Trust/faith in the Creator - Grand Father - Spirit.
• Reverence toward, value of, and support for our elders, relatives, and community.
• Collaboration with volunteers and community resources.
• Responsibility for our actions.
• Promotion of the common good through conscious interactions.
• Reflection and prayer before decisions are made.
We have friends worldwide participating in our activities, and we welcome all peoples and tribes!
Our activities are currently held in Weed, Northern California, and we are expanding to Keno, Southern Oregon, halfway between Portland and San Francisco.
Donate to Spirit of the Wind

Spirit of the Wind is a charitable 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, meaning donations are tax-deductible.
We are operated almost exclusively by volunteers.

We have recognized the importance of promoting and preserving Native American Culture, Values, and Traditions through strong Community support and our growing role in the Community over the last forty years.

We facilitate Native American Ceremonies like Sweat Lodges, Vision Quests, and Traditional Dances.
Through our activities, we keep the Native American Culture alive.
We offer monthly public Sweat Lodge Purification Ceremonies where everyone is invited and welcome to participate.
One of our main goals for 2025 is to include the children in our events, which will be called "Spirit of the Wind for Kids." Through these events, our "Little Eagles" will learn more about our Culture and leave a positive legacy for future generations.

We also organize and facilitate:
• Native American Drum Circles,
• Arts & Crafts events and workshops,
• Thanksgiving Dinner in November,
• Traditional Spirit of the Wind Christmas Party in December.
We require financial support to move forward with our goal of having our activities free of cost for the community.
And you can help us, too, by donating to our cause!

Every little bit helps, and each donation is greatly appreciated!
